Tree Constraints Plan

Objectives:

To provide a plan and survey detailing the existing trees on the development site in accordance with the BS5837:2012 survey recommendations. Assess all trees on site prior to the design of the projects layout to inform the design and aid retention of trees and the delivery of the project.

Outcome:

First Ecology was engaged in the project at an early stage. The tree survey and CAD plans were used in meetings onsite with the design team and the tree officer to facilitate suitable changes to the design to gain planning permission.

The tree constraints on the site and the design of the development led to many conflicts with root protection areas. Our plans were used to minimise the issues and to inform the illustrate the areas where changes required special engineering solutions to inform the assessment of costs.
