Freshwater surveys

 

Freshwater surveys are required in a number of circumstances including for planning and development where projects may impact upon water bodies, compliance with the Water Framework Directive where monitoring is essential to ensure that water quality targets are being met, Environmental Permitting monitoring to confirm adherence to permit conditions,in assessing habitat quality for conservation purposes and to inform the design of river restoration projects and assess how successfully the restoration objectives have been met.
